In the words of C.S. Lewis, “Those of us who have been true readers all our life seldom fully realize the enormous extension of our being which we owe to authors.” These words resonate deeply with anyone who has experienced the transformative power of literature. Today, we embark on a journey to uncover the enduring influence of C.S. Lewis, a literary giant whose insights into leadership and storytelling continue to inspire generations.
One of C.S. Lewis’s most compelling chapters is his journey of faith. Despite his religious upbringing, Lewis grappled with doubt and skepticism, particularly in the aftermath of World War I. His quest for truth led him down paths of atheism and agnosticism, yet ultimately, through intellectual inquiry and personal introspection, he rediscovered his Christian faith. This internal struggle became a cornerstone of his writing, as seen in the symbolic richness of The Chronicles of Narnia series.
Equally fascinating is Lewis’s deep friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Lord of the Rings. Bonding over their shared love for language and mythology, Lewis and Tolkien formed the Inklings, a group of writers and scholars who gathered to discuss their works. This camaraderie fueled their creative endeavors and enriched their personal lives. Through their collaboration and mutual encouragement, they left an indelible mark on the landscape of fantasy literature.
C.S. Lewis’s literary legacy extends far beyond the realms of fiction. His allegorical tales in The Chronicles of Narnia continue to captivate readers, young and old, imparting timeless moral lessons and spiritual truths. Moreover, his apologetic writings, such as Mere Christianity, have shaped theological discourse and guided the navigation of questions of faith and reason. Lewis’s insights into human nature and morality remain as relevant today as they were when first penned.
As we reflect on C.S. Lewis’s life and works, we are reminded of the profound influence of storytelling and the importance of grappling with life’s deepest questions. Lewis’s journey of faith, rich friendships, and literary achievements offer valuable lessons for navigating our paths. In a world filled with uncertainty, his writings serve as beacons of wisdom and sources of inspiration.
Let us delve deeper into the timeless wisdom of C.S. Lewis, exploring his writings with fresh eyes and open hearts. Whether through the enchanting world of Narnia or the thought-provoking essays of The Weight of Glory, much is to be gained from his insights. Let us also embrace the power of storytelling in our own lives, recognizing its capacity to ignite imagination, foster empathy, and drive positive change. In honoring the legacy of C.S. Lewis, we celebrate the transformative potential of literature to illuminate our paths and enrich our souls.

We hear authors complain about all the personal stuff on Facebook. Most of these complaints are because the author doesn’t understand the difference difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page. Simply put, a profile is for personal things for friends and family; a page is for business. If your book is just a hobby, then it’s fine to have only a Facebook profile and make your posts for friends and family; however, if you’re serious about your writing, and it’s a business with you, or you want it to be business, then you need a Facebook page as an author. It’s simple to tell if it’s a page or a profile. A profile shows how many friends and a page shows how many likes. Here’s a link <> to a straight forward description on how to set up your author Facebook page.
