[5 Reasons, Part One]
When it comes right down to it, you must ask yourself why you should pick Publication Consultants as the publisher for your book.
There are five things that set our company apart from the many other outfits currently available to the enterprising author.
Perhaps the most important is our integrity. For us in the book business, this is made up of many things that we do, and more importantly, some that we refuse to do.
- First of all, as a Christian publisher, we do not publish “anything and every thing.” We do not accept pornography or any graphic sex scenes, cursing, or taking the Lord’s name lightly.
- We send your manuscript to an independent evaluator to find its strengths and weaknesses; we do not make money from this, and that’s how we like it. We don’t want someone in our office that might be pressured to say something is better than it is, just for the business.
- If your manuscript needs editing, we then recommend several editors, also independent of our company. Again, no pressure from us. You are the best judge of which editor you can work with. And this editor can be someone we don’t even know. We give you some contacts to get you started, but don’t insist you use one of them.
- We are not a “book mill.” Since 1978, we have published an average of 16 books per year. In fact, we are nearing a milestone of publishing our 600th book in our 36 years in publishing.
These are some examples of our company integrity.
Keep your eye on this blog, and I’ll let you in on the other reasons to choose Publication Consultants as your publisher.

We hear authors complain about all the personal stuff on Facebook. Most of these complaints are because the author doesn’t understand the difference difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page. Simply put, a profile is for personal things for friends and family; a page is for business. If your book is just a hobby, then it’s fine to have only a Facebook profile and make your posts for friends and family; however, if you’re serious about your writing, and it’s a business with you, or you want it to be business, then you need a Facebook page as an author. It’s simple to tell if it’s a page or a profile. A profile shows how many friends and a page shows how many likes. Here’s a link <> to a straight forward description on how to set up your author Facebook page.
