Esther Smith moved to Alaska with her family at 10 days old. In Nenana, Esther was raised on berries, salmon, moose, the family garden, and animals her family raised (pigs, turkeys, and reindeer). Processing moose, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and fish is on her resume. She was homeschooled, and after graduation she attend BYU-Hawaii and earned a Bachelor in Visual Communications degree. Meanwhile she married, had three children, and moved back to Alaska to raise her family. She and her husband have since adopted two Yupik girls, had one more child, and have another on the way (totaling seven). They live on a farm and raise sheep, chickens, vegetables, and raising a strong, healthy family in the land of The Silly Sun.
