In the realm of literature, there exist two distinct categories of writers. The first group seems to write merely for the sake of words, stringing them together in a way that forms sentences, paragraphs, and pages without leaving a lasting imprint on the reader’s soul. Then, there are those like Jake Jacobson, whose words possess extraordinary power to transform the mundane into the exceptional. With a life carved out of adventures and a pen that breathes life into every experience, Jake Jacobson stands as a master storyteller who has left an indelible mark on Alaska’s literary landscape and society at large.
Jake’s profound insight into the essence of storytelling is encapsulated in his own words: “I’ve noticed that as I go through life, I tend to accept or ignore things as being average rather than exceptional! Writing about my memories changed the average to the remarkable, unique, exceptional.” These words echo the sentiments of many who have had the privilege of delving into the world he crafts with his narratives.
Jake’s life itself reads like a tapestry woven with threads of adventure. Dr. Larry Gates, a man yearning to escape the monotony of his existence, found himself irresistibly drawn into Jake’s world of excitement and unpredictability. A chance encounter led Dr. Gates to embark on a hunting expedition deep into the untamed wilderness of Alaska with Jake Jacobson as his guide. Little did he know that this seemingly spontaneous decision would alter the course of his life forever.
But Jake is more than just a guide; he is a living embodiment of ruggedness, a character larger than life. Together, they ventured into the heart of the Alaska wilderness, forging a bond through shared challenges and triumphs. For Dr. Gates, this journey was more than a mere hunting expedition; it was a profound voyage into the depths of his soul. Jake’s storytelling prowess served as a beacon, illuminating their adventures and turning them into vivid tales that captivated and transformed Dr. Gates, allowing him to perceive life through a new lens.
Yet, another facet of Jake’s life unfolded amidst Alaska’s remote towns and vast wilderness areas. Bob Penfold, an ardent admirer of Jake’s work, attested that the chapters in Jake’s books have the remarkable ability to “fun up” the everyday occurrences of Alaska life. These are not tales spun from the thin threads of imagination; they are genuine accounts of the remarkable and, at times, hilariously absurd situations Jake found himself in during his time in Alaska.
One couldn’t help but wonder if Jake had an uncanny knack for attracting extraordinary experiences. His remarkable ability to infuse humor into these stories makes them all the more relatable and endearing. Through his writing, Jake shares the magic of the Alaska wilderness with readers who may never have the opportunity to venture there. It’s as if he possesses a unique talent for capturing the essence of life in Alaska and presenting it in a way that transports readers to those remote corners of the world, making them feel as though they are right there with him.
However, Jake Jacobson’s literary contributions extend beyond entertaining tales of adventure. His works possess the profound capacity to impact society, molding perspectives and touching hearts. His stories are not mere vessels for escapism but a means of forging connections with the vast wilderness and its resilient inhabitants.
Through his vivid narratives, Jake sheds light on the Alaska landscape’s intrinsic beauty and its people’s indomitable spirit. He doesn’t merely chronicle events; he invites readers to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Alaska life. In doing so, he contributes to a deeper understanding of the region and its unique challenges.
In the end, Jake Jacobson’s legacy is one of transformation. He possesses the extraordinary gift of taking the ordinary moments of life, both his own and those of his readers and turning them into extraordinary tales. His words have the unparalleled power to transport readers to the heart of the Alaska wilderness, to make them laugh heartily, and to impart wisdom long after the last page has been turned.
Jake’s journey from an adventurer to a master storyteller, serves as a shining testament to the transformative power of writing. He demonstrates that anyone with the right words and perspective can elevate the average to the remarkable, the mundane to the unique, and the everyday to the exceptional. Aspiring writers would do well to take solace in Jake’s enduring legacy, for he proves beyond a doubt that words can shape history and touch the deepest recesses of the human soul.
I wholeheartedly encourage you to embark on a literary exploration of Jake Jacobson’s work. Allow his words to whisk you away to the untamed beauty of Alaska. Yet, beyond that, I earnestly urge you to harness the formidable power of writing in your own life. As Jake himself discovered, writing possesses the potential to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. So, grasp that pen or open that laptop, and let your words change the world, one remarkable story at a time.

We hear authors complain about all the personal stuff on Facebook. Most of these complaints are because the author doesn’t understand the difference difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page. Simply put, a profile is for personal things for friends and family; a page is for business. If your book is just a hobby, then it’s fine to have only a Facebook profile and make your posts for friends and family; however, if you’re serious about your writing, and it’s a business with you, or you want it to be business, then you need a Facebook page as an author. It’s simple to tell if it’s a page or a profile. A profile shows how many friends and a page shows how many likes. Here’s a link <> to a straight forward description on how to set up your author Facebook page.
