Author Mastermind Carol Douglass, neurosurgeon turned author writes with gripping realism from his field experience. Carl decided on a pen name with his first book, Last Phoenix, to protect himself from the C.I.A. and others; and with his six-book series Saga Of A Neurosurgeon because so much of what he wrote about actually happened during his years as a neurosurgeon. Of course, he’s changed the names and other details, but readers have no doubt that Carl has seen, and sometimes done, everything he writes about in Last Phoenix and Saga Of A Neurosurgeon.
Carl kept his pen name when he wrote his most autobiographical, All in Jest. All in Jest, readers loved the book’s main character, Sybil Norcroft, M.D., F.A.C.S., Ph.D. Carl kept his pen name while continuing the story into a twelve-book Sybil Norcroft series.
Carl loves researching and writing historical fiction, as evidenced by his Trojan Horse in the Belly of the Beast Trilogy, his Joseph McGee Private Investigator series, The Dutchman Trilogy, and his historical fiction books—42 total and counting. Of course, all show the pen name Carl Douglass.
If you’d like to become better acquainted with Carl, you can meet him on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Author Masterminds <> and everywhere good books are sold <>.
Readers have found that reading one of Carl’s books guarantees a sleepless night because it’s so darn hard to put down.

We hear authors complain about all the personal stuff on Facebook. Most of these complaints are because the author doesn’t understand the difference difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page. Simply put, a profile is for personal things for friends and family; a page is for business. If your book is just a hobby, then it’s fine to have only a Facebook profile and make your posts for friends and family; however, if you’re serious about your writing, and it’s a business with you, or you want it to be business, then you need a Facebook page as an author. It’s simple to tell if it’s a page or a profile. A profile shows how many friends and a page shows how many likes. Here’s a link <> to a straight forward description on how to set up your author Facebook page.
