The short answer is yes, we publish romance ebooks. For the longer answer, let me tell you about the books of Marianne Schlegelmilch. She is one of our more prolific authors, who lives in the seaside Alaska town of Homer, on Kachemak Bay. (Kachemack Bay has been called one of the most beautiful vistas in the world. People come from all over to take pictures of it.)
Homer has an international reputation as not only a great place to fish for halibut, but also as a place that attracts artists and writers. Maybe it’s something in the air, and that certainly seems to be true for Marianne.
She watches moose in her yard eat her trees from the top down, and the snowshoe rabbits eat the trees from the bottom. She loves Alaska and everything in it, and when there was a need to raise funds for the Blood Bank, someone said she should write a children’s book to sell for that endeavor. And by golly, she did.
Her first book, Solo Flite, is the fictional story of a little lost puppy found by Joe Redington Sr., who is known as the founder of the Iditarod Race. Naturally the young dog goes on to learn all there is to know about the Iditarod, as well as about life.
Published in 2002, Solo Flite did so well that Marianne was able to donate a portion of the monies raised to Vi Redington, Joe’s widow, to help Vi on her way to create a museum about dog mushing and her husband’s work.
This true part of the story about that picture book is pretty darn romantic, even for us tough Alaskans, but Marianne went on to write many more books, and she’s not stopping.
Recently, she published her third adult mystery-romance. Driftfeather on the Alaska Seas. This is the newest in what she calls the Feather series, which begins with Feather from a Stranger. All of Marianne’s adult books are available as romance ebooks, which make them easy to pack. You never know when you might find yourself on a trip to Alaska.

We hear authors complain about all the personal stuff on Facebook. Most of these complaints are because the author doesn’t understand the difference difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page. Simply put, a profile is for personal things for friends and family; a page is for business. If your book is just a hobby, then it’s fine to have only a Facebook profile and make your posts for friends and family; however, if you’re serious about your writing, and it’s a business with you, or you want it to be business, then you need a Facebook page as an author. It’s simple to tell if it’s a page or a profile. A profile shows how many friends and a page shows how many likes. Here’s a link <> to a straight forward description on how to set up your author Facebook page.
