Mostly Music’s book launch party was a community event in the performing arts center’s Lorene Harrison lobby. The lobby was named in honor of the book’s author for her contribution to the community. The place was packed. Lorene cried with joy.
Maggi Holman’s, Woman in the Locker Room, book launch party was in a local restaurant. Friends came to help Maggie celebrate her first published book. The place was full, but not packed. Maggi cried with joy.
I’ve participated in more than 100 book launch parties honoring writers who had what it took to become a published author. Writing a book, and bringing it to market, is a challenging and taxing undertaking with times of agony and ecstasy. I understand why author cry with joy at their book launch party.
